2026-02-12 Helena May Club Visit and Scholars’ Luncheon
Two scholarship recipients, Javid Samra Kamran (4A) and Shabana (4A), together with invited guest Hasrat (4A), recently took part in a meaningful visit to The Helena May in Central on 12 February 2026 (Thursday). The students had the opportunity to explore the Club’s distinguished history and learn about its contributions to empowering women and supporting the wider community.
Accompanied by Assistant Principal Miss Kam Po‑shan and Home Economics Teacher Miss Poon Shuk‑yuen, the group was warmly welcomed by Ms Fonnie Wong, Chair of the Community Outreach Committee. Over a luncheon, Ms Wong shared inspiring stories about The Helena May’s mission, heritage, and commitment to community service.
The students reflected that the experience was both enriching and eye‑opening, deepening their appreciation for women’s leadership, volunteerism, and social responsibility. They also valued the opportunity to practise fine‑dining etiquette in an elegant setting, which helped them connect classroom learning with real‑life application.
The visit was a memorable learning experience that encouraged them to uphold the spirit of service and empowerment exemplified by The Helena May.
